Chicagoland Flower and Garden Show 2010

The Kankakee Valley Park District is now taking registrations for their bus trip to the Chicagoland Flower and Garden Show.Gear up for Spring with a trip to the Flower and Garden Show. See beautifully designed gardens by master gardeners and horticulture design specialists. Come see over 200 garden related exhibitors including a teaching garden where you can get tips to improve your own garden. While you relish your time at the Flower and Garden Show there will be many opportunities for you to choose your own lunch. The day is yours to enjoy among the gardens. All guests under the age of 18 must be accompnanied by an adult.

Shrek the Musical

In a faraway kingdom turned upside down, things get ugly when an unseemly ogre – not a handsome prince – shows up to rescue a feisty princess. Throw in a donkey who won’t shut up, a bad guy with a SHORT temper, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you’ve got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there’s one on hand...and his name is Shrek. SHREK THE MUSICAL is part romance, part twisted fairy tale and all irreverent fun for everyone! Along with tickets to this great show we will be having lunch at Ed Debevic’s in Chiago. When registering please choose one of the following: hamburger, cheeseburger, veggie burger, grilled cheese sandwich, hotdog, or a huge house salad with or without chicken. All guests under the age of 18 must be accompnanied by an adult.

Shipshewana Flea Market

The Kankakee Valley Park District is happy to be returning to The Shipshewana Flea Market. Shop ‘til you drop” is more than just a saying in Shipshewana! If hunting for treasures through the 1,000 plus Flea Market vendors is not enough to make you drop, you can walk across the street to the Trading Place Antique Gallery, or walk the short distance to the wide variety of shops downtown. You will be able to browse the flea market on opening day! For this trip lunch is on your own so you may choose your eatery or restaurant of choice.

Chicago White Sox vs. Los Angeles Angels

Come watch the White Sox take on the Angels this summer! Game Time is 1:05pm. Seats are located in the Lower Box Seats. Register early, seats are limited. Charter bus leaves from the Bird Park Family Fun Station. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before departure.
