Youth Athletics
Youth Indoor Coed SoccerBoys and girls will learn different skills associated with soccer, shooting, trapping, passing, and dribbling. Emphasis will be on Fun, Learning, Participation, and Good Sportsmanship. Teams will meet once a week on Monday or Tuesday for practices and games will be played on Saturday mornings. All players and coaches will receive an award at the end of the season for their participation. Shin guards are required and they must be provided by the participant. We will need volunteer coaches to ensure the success of our league. If you volunteer as a coach, you will receive a $60.00 refund. Practice starts week of January 16th. Picture day will be February 4th.

Tumbling
Instructor: KVPD Staff
Learn the basics of tumbling in these fun classes! Classes will be offered for ages 3-5 and 6-10, and will focuses on skill development, flexibility, and coordination. We encourage parents to participate with their child in the toddlers classes.

Aquafina MLB Pitch, Hit & Run
Boys and girls aged 7-14 have the opportunity to showcase their baseball and softball skills in the Aquafina MLB
Pitch, Hit & Run! Participants may advance to the team championship at US Cellular Stadium during a White Sox game and may qualify for the National Finals at the MLB All-Star Game! Register by April 2, no medal cleat allowed!

Taekwondo For Tiny Tigers
Instructor: ATA Black Belt Academy & Karate for Kids
Do you want to do something great for your children? Learning the Korean martial art form known as Songahm will help your child develop discipline, confidence, concentration and self-control, all qualities that are important to a child’s growth. Basic techniques including punching, kicking forms, and self defense are taught in this class. Uniforms are required. You can purchase one at ATA. Each session is an 8 week course; 2 classes per week.

Karate for Kids and Adults Taekwondo

Sports & Sorts

This fun filled class teaches little sportsters the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship, while introducing them to a variety of sports. Kids will learn the basic fundamentals of basketball, baseball, soccer, flag football, hockey, and more!

Intro to Bowling for Kids and Young Adults
Are you looking to start bowling? Our intro to bowling club will give you just the exercise and fun you are looking for this winter. Each session is 5 weeks, and it includes 2 games of bowling, shoe rental each week, and at the end of the 5 weeks you receive a free bowling ball with free drilling. You can register at Brookmont Bowling Center or at KVPD administrative office.

Summer in the Parks
This summer take advantage of a fun time with the Kankakee Valley Park District! KVPD staff will be out
and active this summer at your neighborhood park. We invite you to attend one or all of the dates. Staff will have activities for your children to participate in, so come out and enjoy some fun in the sun. This is free to attend and no registration is required. Look for KVPD staff to be in your neighborhood on the dates below.

Tennis Lessons
This program is designed for players with little to no experience. The program will go through the basics of tennis; forehand, backhand, serve, volley, rules and games at the end. Participants should bring their own rackets, water bottle, and towel. Participants must wear gym shoes or tennis shoes. No running shoes or open sandals or flip flops. All tennis balls are provided.
