Are you interested in
participating in park district programs, but are limited financially?
Here’s your chance, apply for a HEART Scholarship! If
you and your family fall under the following guidelines, you may apply for
a scholarship. Application are available at the park district office.

If you have five or more persons in your household, you may still apply.
This scholarship program is designed to provide low income families the
opportunity to enroll their child(ren) in quality park district programs.
To be eligible for the program, families must be residents of the Kankakee
Valley Park District, children must be 17 years or younger, and families’
combined adjusted gross income must fall at or below HUD Income
guidelines. Scholarships are given at 25%, 50% or 75% subsidy levels.
Subsidy is determined on a sliding scale according to family size and
household income.
Scholarships may be applied towards youth sports leagues and camps, day
camps, trips, special events and general programs. Those interested in
this program may pick up an application at the Parkview Activity Center
located at 175 S. Wall St., Kankakee. Please allow two weeks for approval
